CRIMSON

CRIMSON (CardiovasculaR Integrated Modelling and SimulatiON) is a simulation environment currently developed under the support of the European Research Council (ERC Starting Grant 307532).

Originally based on the SimVascular software developed at Stanford University by Dr. Charles Taylor, Dr. Alberto Figueroa and others, CRIMSON’s vision is to become the most advanced software environment for blood flow modeling. Its overall philosophy is to combine state-of-the-art open source standards with cutting-edge computational methods.

CRIMSON is currently being developed at both King’s College London and the University of Michigan. Its official release is expected in the first trimester of 2019, but in the meantime you can check the current status of the software here:
